SMC Events is a Latina-led event planning company founded by Stephanie Clemente Johnson in 2023. We plan and coordinate corporate events, social celebrations, and brand activations for people who care about the details but don't want to manage them. Behind Every Great Event, There's Stephanie.

Hi, I'm Stephanie Clemente Johnson, founder of SMC Events and the person who will lose sleep so your event doesn't.

Before launching SMC, I spent 18 years as an executive assistant and event planner, coordinating everything from high-stakes corporate retreats to the kind of family celebrations that make your tías cry happy tears. I've managed the timelines, chased down the vendors, solved the problems nobody saw coming, and made sure every single person in the room felt taken care of.

I started SMC Events because I kept seeing the same thing: people pouring their hearts into an event and burning out before they ever got to enjoy it. Or worse, trusting someone else to handle it and ending up with something generic that didn't feel like them at all.

That's not how it should be. Your event should reflect who you are — your brand, your culture, your story. And you should actually be present for it.

SMC Events exists because I believe every event deserves someone who cares about it as much as you do. That someone is me.
